Bay and Basin Boxing Club has been serving the South Coast community in the Jervis Bay and St Georges Basin area for over 17 years.
Head boxing coach Justin O'Connor is a multi-generational local in the region with a comprehensive understanding into the sport of boxing and its relevance to the members of our community both young and old.
Our ethos is all about balance. The clubs logo of the dolphin and shark inter-locked in battle represents this and is based on the Yin Yang concept.
- The shark resembles the need at times for aggression, dominance and primal instinct as a method of survival. - The dolphin signifies intelligence, compassion and social structure.
When the two are combined it produces an individual who is confident, capable and empathetic to those surrounding them.
Our main aim is not just to produce the best boxers, but also to produce the best humans that we can!!
At Bay and Basin Boxing Club we support people with all expectations in the sport of boxing. We cater to those who wish to compete at any level, those who wish to use boxing as a fun and interactive weight loss or fitness based method, people who wish to gain or re-gain confidence in ability and self protection, or, for youth or adults who wish to gain the ability to deal with bullying, domestic or social violence situations.
The head coach Justin O'Connor is fully licenced and accredited with Boxing Australia, Combat Sports Authority NSW, has current Working With Vulnerable Children/Persons Checks and is affiliated with the ACT BOXING Authority.
With over 28 years in the fighting game in a range of styles and more than 17 years of coaching competitive level boxing Justin is one of the most experienced boxing coaches the region has to offer. Having an impeccable injury record is proof that the clubs highest priority is to yours or your child's safety at all times.
